1 Cor 5 - Ignoring Sin - Feb 4, 2018
1 Cor 4 - The Clergy and The Parishioners - Jan 7, 2018
Who do you consider to be a spiritual authority over you? Anyone? Who led you to Christ? Who has given you most of the Biblical and doctrinal training that you’ve received?
Have you ever found yourself in rebellion against authority, whether spiritual or otherwise? Looking back now, was that a good thing or not?
Paul says in this passage that he doesn’t judge himself and his own obedience to Christ. Have you ever done any self-evaluation? If you were not doing so well spiritually speaking, do you think you could recognize the “voice” of the Holy Spirit telling you what you ought to do?
Do you think the life and work of ministers is difficult or easy? What sort of tasks do you think they do on a regular basis? What do you perceive would be the hardest part of being a pastor or minister? What do you perceive would be the most rewarding part of a minister’s job?
1 Cor 3 - Why Are You Fighting if You Already Have Everything? - Dec 31, 2017
Obvious problem – Specific Symptom – The Danger of Not Addressing It – The Remedy – The Root Cause of the Whole Problem
What sign of spiritual immaturity do you see in yourself? What have you done to try to remedy that problem? Has it helped?
What do you think is the root problem that causes the immaturity? What are you desperate for that causes you to act out in these ways?
What is the danger in not addressing this problem? Can you see the end result down the road? How has it affected your lifestyle and relationships?
Do you have a high view of the Christian life? Do you understand what God is trying to do in your life? If you had a greater vision of God’s work in your life, do you think that might help?
What can you do to help you get that greater understanding?
What should you be praying for to help you achieve that change?

1. How long have you been a Christian? How has your life changed in that time?

3. How did your lifestyle change immediately after you became a Christian? In the last 5 years as a Christian?
4. Do you listen to other Bible teachers besides Pastor Wes? Who? What have you learned from them?
5. When you open your Bible, do you pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you? What have you ever learned about life and morality from the Holy Spirit? Is the Spirit guiding your daily life?
6. Have you taken responsibility for your own personal growth in Christ? Pastor Wes mentioned these three areas of growth in the Christian life: Knowledge of the Bible and Theology; Christian Morality and Lifestyle; Advancing the Kingdom of God. In what aspect of the Christian life do you consider yourself to be deficient? How are you going to grow in that area in 2018?
1 Corinthians 2:1-5 - The Simplest Gospel Message - Dec. 10, 2017
Have you ever thought that you’d like to talk about your beliefs with someone, you just don’t know what to say? How could you change that?
Have you ever felt like you’re just not equipped to understand the Bible or talk about it? What could you do to change that?
Try to articulate what you think the core beliefs of the Christian faith are. What does each line in the Apostle’s Creed mean?
Can you talk about your own faith journey? What has your life been like without God? What is your life like now that you are closer to God?
Can you think of two or three people you could start praying for who need to hear the gospel? Say a prayer for them now and then ask God to give you a chance to talk to them about it.
Do you just lack boldness? Ask God to make you a bold gospel witness.
